General
Looking at the specifications, this dreadnought-shaped electro-acoustic looks fairly standard: a solid spruce top, rosewood back and sides and a mahogany neck. However, this is an all-solid acoustic guitar and, while the details have been kept simple, the sound and finish are anything but. The Guild D-150CE has a warm and sustain-rich sound with a satisfying heavy bottom-end supported by bright accents while the relatively flat 16-inch radius of the rosewood fretboard and the C-profile neck have a brilliantly tight and lush playing feel.
The Guild D-150CE: Clarity and Comfort
Amplified by the Fishman Soundhole Pickup system, the acoustic foundation sound of the D-150CE is dutifully registered by a Sonicore pickup and processed by a Sonitone preamplifier with volume an tone controls. The result is a faithful and clear delivery of the natural warmth of the instrument. Blend this with the irresistible playing comfort and subtle design details and it results in a joy of a guitar whether writing, recording or performing.
The Guild Westerly Collection
Guild have been building high-quality instruments since 1953 and their acoustic guitars still echo some of the details of their earlier, vintage models. Each guitar included in the Westerly Series features a solid wood construction and comes supported by a number of subtle yet luxurious details. The headstock is always found adorned with the iconic Guild inlay and Chesterfield emblem and the body is always completed by a classic faux-tortoiseshell pickguard. The Westerly Series is a range of sumptuous acoustic guitars focussed on sound and build quality and each comes with their very own Guild Acoustic Premium Gig Bag.
