General
BOSS' WAZA Tube Amp Expander ensures you get the best out of any tube amplifier with a power output of up to 150 watts. It's a load box, an analogue power stage, a mic'd cab simulator, an IR loader, and a recording interface in one! No wonder BOSS refer to it as a command centre for your tube amp. As well as being excellent for live applications, it comes in very handy in studios too. Thanks to the specially-developed Tube Logic technology, the sound, the character of the distortion and the dynamics of your tube amp all remain intact.
WAZA Tube Amp Expander: Real Tube Sounds with Cabinet and Microphone Emulations
The load box section allows you to record real tube sounds from your amplifier without disturbing your neighbours. There are 7 speaker cabinet emulations that can be combined with 5 microphone simulations. If you've got favourite impulse responses from third parties, you can store them to one of fours slots on the WAZA Tube Amp Expander as well. Sixteen different combinations of the Resonance-Z and Presence-Z controls can be used to give you your preferred setting so that your guitar amp sounds just the way you want it at any volume level.
Extra Control and Quality Sound
There are MIDI and footswitch connectors giving you extra options for controlling the Tube Amp Expander. In the studio, the USB connector is sure to come in extremely handy as well. No matter what you use it for, you'll benefit from top-quality 32-bit, 96 kHz sound. There are also reverb, delay and compression effects built-in as well as an EQ. External effects can be added via the FX loop and you can run them in series or parallel.
Unlock its Full Potential
If you'd rather listen to your amplifier through speaker cabinets, you can connect up to two of them to the WAZA Tube Amp Expander. To really get to grips with all of its possibilities, connect it to a PC or Mac via the USB port and you can tweak all sorts of things via the freely-available editor software. Your favourite setups can then be saved and you could even put them in the order of your playlist, for instance. If you're playing on a smaller stage, but you still want the same full guitar sound, simply adjust the loudness contour accordingly. The WAZA Tube Amp Expander comes with a power adapter, a user manual and two rack mount ears.
